Many people currently seeking at home jobs are at very high risk of getting swept into a 'work-at-home scheme'. There are many forms of work-at-home schemes which deter people from achieving true opportunity at home. A work at home scheme is a get rich quick scheme that lures people in by offering them at home employment. The schemers often offer to pay the worker an amount that far exceeds the market price for the same amount of labor, and then find ways to cheat the worker out of mass amounts of money.
Work at home schemes have been around since the sixties, and while schemers used to post ads in newspapers only, they now have infiltrated pretty much all media sources. Legitimate sources of opportunity at home do exist, but it has been estimated that only 1 in 42 advertisements found in the media are linked to actual paying jobs.
